Job summary

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. seeks a VP of Container Engineering to steer the container platform strategy, architecture, and operations across a multi-account landing zone.

You will lead a globally distributed team, drive 24x7 on-call readiness, and partner with FinOps to optimize costs while delivering a self-service, security-conscious platform for application teams. Responsibilities include owning EKS-based platform upgrades, Terraform/Helm modules, and incident response, with collaboration

Qualifications

• Lead the Containers team within LPL's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE).
• Own strategy, architecture, and operations of the container platform (EKS).
• Partner with FinOps to optimize costs and drive reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Containers team in CCOE: strategy, architecture, implementation, and operations of EKS across a multi-account landing zone.
• Set multi-year container strategy: topology, upgrades, add-ons, ingress, mesh, GitOps, CI/CD integration.
• Drive container cost efficiency with FinOps: Karpenter, Spot, right-sizing, cost monitoring.
• Deliver self-service container experience via Terraform/Helm modules and backstage-like integration.
• Co-own multi-account landing zone with related pods; ensure security and governance alignment.
• Lead 24x7 on-call rotations as senior incident commander and engineering lead.
