Job summary

LPL Financial, a leading wealth management firm, seeks a VP, AWS Support to lead the 24x7 Tier 1/ Tier 2 operations of the Cloud Center of Excellence. You will own strategy, architecture, and automation for the AWS landing zone, triage inbound tickets, and drive durable improvements through incident response and runbook automation.

Candidate will guide a global team, partner with Foundations and Platform pods, and champion AI-assisted self-service and automation across the cloud platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive technical experience including cloud infrastructure leadership.
• 5+ years leading 24x7 Tier 1/ Tier 2 cloud operations at enterprise scale.
• 3+ years direct people management of engineering teams.
• 5+ years experience with production AWS at scale and Terraform in private module ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 24x7 Tier 1/ Tier 2 production support for AWS landing zone strategy and operations.
• Own inbound ticket triage across Jira/ServiceNow with clear SLAs and escalation paths.
• Automate account/IAM/access requests via Terraform's Account Factory and private module library.
• Own runbook authorship, execution, and incident response coordination.
• Drive change-management with change-windows planning and ServiceNow discipline.
• Lead major incident command and post-incident reviews for durable improvements.
• Embed AI capabilities to improve self-service, triage, and runbook generation.
• Recruit, coach, and retain a globally distributed cloud engineering team.
