Job summary

LPL Financial invites a senior leader to own and evolve the container platform in its Cloud Center of Excellence. This role will guide strategy, architecture, and operations of the primary container platform (Amazon EKS) across a multi-account landing zone and potentially expand to ECS/OpenShift as hybrid runtimes.

The successful candidate will partner with FinOps to improve cost efficiency, deliver self-service experiences for developers, and lead a globally distributed team across US offices

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive technical experience including 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering leadership.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS at scale in a multi-account landing zone, with 4+ years of authoring production Terraform.
• 1+ year experience as a people manager or technical lead of 5+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Containers team in CCOE: strategy, architecture, and operations of LPL's container platform (EKS) across the landing zone.
• Set multi-year container strategy: topology, upgrades, add-ons, ingress, service mesh, GitOps, CI/CD integration.
• Drive cost efficiency with FinOps tools and guardrails; deliver self-service container experiences.
• Embed AI capabilities into engineering practice and platform self-service features.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a globally distributed team across US and India GCC.
