Qualifications

  • Approximately 15 years of experience managing large-scale development and construction projects in a global or complex environment.
  • Experience in contracting, consultancy or client organizations is valuable with design, procurement and delivery exposure.
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.
  • Strong understanding of design, engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with ability to collaborate across international teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Who are we hiring?

Support the Development and Construction team at Sphere in managing a diverse portfolio of Sphere projects across the globe. The VP Construction will lead key aspects of project development and delivery, ensuring alignment with Sphere's vision, standards, and strategic objectives . This role involves coordinating globally across teams and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes in a dynamic and innovative environment.

What will you do?

Responsible for delivering major project s and initiatives the role will encompass the full development lifecycle from design and procur e ment through to delivery commissioning and occupation. The post holder will coordinate and lead diverse teams including internal Sphere stakeholders, external designers, General Contractor, and Sub-Contractors .

The roleis actionorientated with the post holder accountable to deliver to time,costand quality KPIs. These will include:

  • Oversee andleaddevelopment and construction projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with Sphere's creative and technical goals
  • Responsibility to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful global delivery
  • Lead coordination across internal teams, consultants, and external partners to ensure seamless execution
  • Work with the team tomaintainconsistent project oversight and monitoring across all initiatives through the preconstruction and construction phases
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks through proactive planning and issue resolution
  • Support strategic project planning and decision making to align with long-term organizational objectives
  • Ensure effective stakeholder communication and reporting at all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and delivery methodologies
  • Represent the Development and Construction team in global coordination efforts to ensure consistency across regions and projects
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Degree in Construction Management, engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Approximately 1 5 years of experience managing large-scale development and construction projects, ideally within a global or highly complex environment .
  • A background in contracting, consultancy or client organizations are equally valued providing the candidate can show a broad basis of experience which includes design, procurement and delivery of major projects.
  • Proven track record of delivery projects on time, within budget, and to defined quality and safety standards
  • Strong understanding of design, engineering, procurement, and construction processes
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary and international teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to fast-paced, evolving priorities
  • E xperienced in participating within large internal project teams and demonstrable staff management experience.

Pay Range

$160,000 — $320,000 USD
