Job summary

The Complex Assets Product Manager at Citi leads day-to-day product management for complex instruments, including OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, in Boston. You will shape strategy, drive product life cycles, and coordinate with product management, operations, design, and IT to deliver value to strategic clients.

Required experience in Complex Assets/Derivatives, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work across global teams.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive Complex Assets/Derivatives industry experience, ideally in a Product Management capacity within financial services.
• Deep and technical understanding of multi-asset class OTC derivatives, including lifecycle events.
• Proven knowledge of Portfolio Swaps and Exchange Traded Derivatives.
• Demonstrated experience in defining economic minimum data requirements for financial instruments.
• Solid understanding of derivative market conventions, data models, and valuation/processing impacts.
• Experience working in Product Management roles focused on financial instruments.
• Experience managing across multi-function and/or global business.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing of products.
• Oversee day-to-day product management for core products and client communications.
• Execute client value propositions, positioning, pricing, and competitive differentiation.
• Develop plans and execute functional strategies across countries/regions.
• Manage client and competitor market research and product innovation roadmap.
• Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management, including market demands and technology trends.
• Contribute to acquisition targets, product financial performance, and expense management.
• Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace.
• Drive innovation with external partners and manage vendor relationships.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and ethics.
