Job summary

BHcare in Connecticut seeks a Vice President, Community Services to lead trauma-informed, person-centered community programs across the state. This full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week role shapes program direction, partnerships, and outcomes across domestic violence, housing, prevention, recovery, and related services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work or related behavioral health field.
• Connecticut independent clinical licensure required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment setting.
• At least five years of progressive leadership overseeing multiple programs and staff.
• Experience with budget management, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Experience building partnerships with community organizations and healthcare providers.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and direction for BHcare’s community service areas.
• Strengthen collaboration across behavioral health and community-based programs.
• Lead primary care integration strategy with healthcare partnerships.
• Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and grants.
• Coach and support program directors and managers; foster accountability and improvement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Monitor utilization, access, outcomes, and quality metrics; inform decisions with data.
• Ensure licensure, accreditation, regulatory, and funding compliance.
