Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a senior risk and controls professional to join the Payments risk team in the United States. You will monitor operational and compliance risk, conduct risk assessments, and partner with stakeholders to maintain the risk profile for Commercial Card and related payments processes.

Responsibilities include driving control design assessment, testing planning, and issue remediation while preparing executive-level risk reporting and supporting governance forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in control management, operational risk, audit, compliance, risk management.
• Knowledge of risk management principles, control frameworks, governance practices.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and evaluating control effectiveness.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the operational and compliance risk environment to identify risks.
• Perform risk assessments for initiatives, product enhancements, regulatory changes, and processes.
• Analyze KRIs, audit findings, and regulatory developments to evaluate exposure.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess risks and maintain the risk profile.
• Identify control gaps and propose sustainable remediation solutions.
• Evaluate control design and effectiveness across business processes.
• Support planning, execution, and reporting of control testing activities.
• Assess impact of business/tech changes on the control environment.
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of issues including root cause analysis and closure.
• Prepare executive-ready reporting on risk, controls, testing, and metrics.
• Support governance forums with accurate, complete documentation.
