Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, VP to architect and implement cloud and hybrid data solutions as part of the Cyber Architecture & Engineering team. You will deploy and maintain vast infrastructure using IaC tools, integrate new technologies, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and managers to drive cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in production engineering and management (deployment, release, maintenance, migration).
• 8+ years in developing production code with Python, Golang, Ruby or JavaScript.
• 5+ years managing medium to large-scale production infra on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with cybersecurity platforms (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, ELK).
• Strong automation with Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, AWS CDK or similar.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud & hybrid infrastructure across multiple providers and on-premises with multi-region HA & DR.
• Automate toil and drive SRE practices to improve reliability and velocity.
• Mentor Platform Engineers and lead cross-team engagements.
• Develop software tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations automation.
• Own platform end-to-end from user perspective and ensure live service availability.
