Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, Senior Cloud Data Architect & Migration Leader to drive enterprise-scale cloud data migration strategy, execution, and product enablement for its modern data ecosystem. This role leads cross-functional teams, shaping secure, scalable cloud-native data capabilities and measurable business value across AI, analytics, and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud migration, or technology transformation.
• Leadership of enterprise cloud data migration programs.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, lakehouse, and data mesh architectures.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
• Agile/SAFe experience and leading globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cloud data migration strategy, roadmap, and execution across modernization initiatives.
• Define and manage vision, capabilities, adoption strategy, and value roadmap for cloud data platforms and products.
• Provide senior leadership and architecture direction across data lakehouse, data mesh, API-enabled data sharing, and AI ecosystems.
• Drive prioritization, sequencing, and execution of migration initiatives with trade-offs and risk management.
• Lead executive communications, status reporting, and governance forums across stakeholders to drive alignment.
