Job summary

Synchrony seeks a visionary VP, Senior Cloud Data Architect & Migration Leader to steer enterprise cloud data migration strategy and execution. You will shape modern data ecosystems, drive platform adoption, and partner with senior leaders to deliver measurable business value across regulatory, performance, and AI-driven analytics needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, Business or related field.
• 8+ years of information technology, data architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, data product management, technology transformation, or related roles.
• 5+ years of leading data platform modernization, cloud migration, data product, or large-scale tech transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise cloud data migration strategy, roadmap, and execution across modernization initiatives.
• Define and manage vision, adoption strategy, and value roadmap for cloud data platforms and data products.
• Provide architecture direction across cloud data platforms, lakehouse, data mesh, event-driven architecture, and AI ecosystems.
• Drive prioritization and execution of migration initiatives balancing value, risk, cost, and performance.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to assess environments, identify modernization opportunities, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Establish reusable migration frameworks, governance, and standards for secure, high-performing cloud data solutions.
• Lead cross-functional alignment and translate tech decisions into clear business value and execution plans.
