Job summary

Crux is scaling quickly and seeks a Vice President for Industry Coverage focusing on M&A advisory and debt mandates. You will own client relationships, structure transactions, and grow Crux's M&A advisory and debt capabilities as core franchises.

You will drive origination, valuation analyses, and debt structuring across the clean energy capital stack, while mentoring juniors and representing Crux at events. This is a remote-friendly leadership role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in power, utilities, renewables or clean energy finance roles.
• Experience contributing to M&A and debt transactions.
• Deep expertise in at least one of M&A advisory or debt capital markets.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, comps).
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Own senior client relationships and drive strategic coverage plans across the full capital stack.
• Lead origination, structuring, and execution of M&A advisory mandates and debt mandates.
• Support debt origination across construction, term, back-leverage, and tax equity bridge.
• Advise clients on M&A and debt opportunities using market intelligence and product knowledge.
• Mentor junior team members and develop client-facing materials (CIMs, teasers, lender lists).
• Manage transaction execution workstreams with cross-functional teams.
