Job summary

Arbella 56 Group is seeking a Vice President Chief Actuary to lead actuarial and data science teams in Massachusetts. The role drives pricing, underwriting, risk management, and governance across actuarial models, AI initiatives, and data strategy to support business and regulatory objectives.

The leader will collaborate with executives, oversee valuation processes, and champion ethical data use while fostering staff development and organizational excellence.

Qualifications

• FCAS or ACAS or equivalent required
• 15+ years of progressive experience in property and casualty actuarial roles
• Leadership of cross-functional teams including data scientists, actuaries, and analysts
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, ML/AI applications in insurance or financial services

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow actuarial and data science teams
• Drive integration of actuarial science and analytics for pricing, underwriting, risk management and product development
• Oversee reserving, pricing support, practice governance and regulatory compliance
• Develop predictive models, machine learning applications, and AI tools
• Translate data insights into strategic business recommendations
• Partner with IT, Finance, Underwriting, Product, Counsel and Claims teams
• Present findings to board and executives
