Job summary

AiLO Logistics, a veteran transportation and logistics provider, seeks a Vice President of Brokerage Operations in Phoenix for strategy, execution, and scalable growth of its asset-light brokerage platform.

The role owns Carrier Sales and Operations, capacity procurement, network performance, and leadership development to scale business while leveraging AiLO’s asset-based network as a strategic advantage.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, carrier sales, or related operations.
• Proven leadership building and scaling teams.
• Deep understanding of truckload transportation, carrier procurement, capacity management, broker economics, pricing and execution.
• Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen to translate data into decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to build carrier relationships and lead tech-enabled improvements.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute brokerage carrier strategy across sales, sourcing, capacity planning, and partnerships.
• Build a scalable carrier network across markets, customers, and freight lanes.
• Lead operations from tender to delivery with coverage, visibility, exceptions, and on-time performance.
• Design scalable operating processes, governance, and escalation practices for profitable growth and customer experience.
• Partner with Sales and Account Management to align execution with commitments and priorities.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Carrier Sales and Operations organization.
• Establish clear roles, KPIs, performance expectations, and accountability across the org.
• Drive performance across cost, margin, coverage, productivity, service, and carrier performance.
