Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a senior leader to head the Claims BI & Analytics team, driving analytics to inform tactical decisions and strategic direction across PL, CL and Claims.

You will deliver dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions, partner with IT to optimize the data warehouse, and guide cross-functional teams to translate insights into premium growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft BI tools including Cognos, SharePoint, SQL, Access, and Excel.
• 10 years Underwriting, Claims, Loss Control, or related financial services experience.
• 5+ years leading BI projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI strategy and define key business metrics and analytic needs for dashboards, scorecards and reporting solutions.
• Identify and monitor factors influencing Underwriting and Claim performance; drive profitability and operational effectiveness.
• Determine frameworks for addressing business problems; lead and review statistical/data analyses; manage project implementation plans.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, communications, and change management for knowledge management initiatives.
• Develop Selective's data-driven decision-making capabilities and stay current with industry developments.
