Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Data & Analytics leader to partner with Claims leadership, translating priorities into a portfolio of insights, analytics and AI initiatives. Qualifications

• Experience leading analytics, business intelligence, data or AI teams.
• Experience partnering with Claims, Insurance Operations, Actuarial or Reserving functions within the insurance industry.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into practical analytics and AI solutions.
• Experience delivering measurable business outcomes through the use of analytics, data products or AI capabilities.
• Strong understanding of insurance claims processes, operational performance measures and claims data.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
• Knowledge of modern analytics, business intelligence and AI technologies.
• Ability to operate effectively within a complex, matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Data & Analytics partner for Claims leadership.
• Develop a deep understanding of Claims priorities, challenges, operating models and strategic objectives.
• Translate business needs into a prioritised portfolio of insights, analytics and AI initiatives.
• Own delivery of Claims-focused reporting, dashboards, analytics solutions and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Drive Claims MI evolution from operational reporting toward predictive and prescriptive insights.
• Champion self-service analytics and scalable data products.
• Partner with Reserving leadership to align Claims and Reserving analytics priorities.
• Support a consistent view of claims performance, loss development, claims trends and portfolio movements.
• Identify opportunities for AI, advanced analytics, automation and innovative technologies across Claims.
• Work with Analytics, AI Delivery and Insights Delivery teams to implement sustainable solutions.
• Promote responsible, controlled and value-focused AI adoption.
• Link analytics and AI initiatives to business outcomes, define success measures and track delivered value.
• Build trusted relationships with senior Claims leaders and business stakeholders.
• Communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Lead and develop a team of Insights & Analytics professionals.
• Encourage reuse of common solutions, patterns and best practices.
• Ensure solutions follow AXIS data governance, AI governance and information management standards.
• Partner with Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Operations and Platform teams to ensure trusted data foundations.
