Job summary

LPL Financial seeks an Engineer 2, Cloud Support Engineer to join the Cloud Center of Excellence. You will triage tickets, runbooks, and IAM requests, collaborating with senior engineers, AVPs, and the VP, Support.

The role focuses on hands-on cloud operations, automation, and incident response across a globally distributed team. In this 24x7 production support role, you will work with the AWS landing zone, Terraform Cloud, and private modules, delivering reliable cloud services from US offices

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive technical experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or software engineering.
• 1+ years of hands-on production AWS in a multi-account environment with Terraform and Terraform Cloud/GitHub Actions.
• Experience triaging tickets via Jira and ServiceNow, with strong incident response and runbook execution.

Responsibilities

• Triage inbound tickets from application teams against SLAs and escalate as needed across Foundations pods and Platforms.
• Fulfill account / IAM / access requests and progress toward self-service paths via Terraform Account Factory and module library.
• Create, improve, and apply runbooks for incident classes; partner with Monitoring to feed lessons into durable monitoring.
• Support change-management activities, including change-window participation and SOX/domain controls.
• Incorporate agentic AI capabilities to enhance automation, self-service, and incident response workflows.
