Job summary

BGBx in Kansas City, MO seeks a VP, ACD, Art to support the Creative Director, oversee visual concepts, client relations, and team direction with 7+ years in graphic/supervisory roles in medical/pharma advertising.

This role demands superb design skills, strong leadership, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, typography, color, photography, and art direction, ensuring high-quality finished art for digital and print while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and 7+ years in medical/pharma advertising.
• Fantastic presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent supervisory and management skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• High design aptitude with typography, color, photography and art.
• Proficient in desktop design tools including Adobe suite and HTML.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and lead through deadlines.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish credibility with clients across levels through clear communication.
• Ensure high standards of reproduction for digital, print, and AV collateral.
• Monitor quality of finished art and supervise internal and freelance artists.
• Provide direction to department staff and freelance contributors.
• Advise Creative Director on design tech needs and vendor relations.
• Lead and develop department staff and manage deadlines.
• Collaborate with account, traffic and other teams to meet objectives.
