BGBx is seeking a VP, Group Art Supervisor to lead design concepts and oversee multiple brands in pharma advertising, working closely with the Creative Director and clients.

You will guide internal teams, ensure on-brand execution, manage deadlines, and elevate the agency’s creative standards across digital and print.

Qualifications

  • .Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, preferably in pharma advertising.
  • Fantastic presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent supervisory, management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent design and conceptual skills, including typography, color, photography, and art.
  • Passionate about design and visual communication.
  • Knowledge of print and digital production.
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, handle stressful situations, and deadline pressures.
  • Excellent in Adobe Creative Suite. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and redirect agency projects to meet changing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Concept, execute, and oversee design and concepts for multiple brands as a brand lead.
  • Keep all work consistent and on brand guidelines and strategy.
  • Contribute to strategic and tactical planning.
  • Key client contact for applicable brands.
  • Raise creative consciousness of agency through internal presentations and leadership.
  • Establish credibility with clients at all levels through advanced thinking and clear communication.
  • Maintain highest standards of reproduction for all digital, print, audio/visual and collateral materials.
  • Monitor the quality of finished art and materials produced by internal and freelance artists.
  • Provide direction and guidance to department subordinates.
  • Inform and advise the Creative Director on departmental affairs, including design-related hardware/software needs.
  • Encourage professional development of staff.
  • Consult with Creative Director and agency teams to achieve objectives.
  • Identify and eliminate factors causing crises and minimize recurrence.
  • Meet deadlines or provide notice to the Creative Director for extensions.
  • Consult with Creative Director regarding staffing needs.
  • Maintain a current list of freelancers, stock houses, and vendors.
  • Engage in personal development to stay current in advertising.
  • Research to become more familiar with clients’ businesses.

Position Overview

The VP, Group ArtSupervisoris a senior-level creative department position responsible for providing direct support to the Creative Director, particularly in the areas of creative presentation, client relations, and team creative oversight. The group art supervisor mustpossesssuperior visual conceptual skills and knowledge of pharmaceutical requirements/terminology as well as vendor requirements/capabilities.

This position reports to the Associate Creative Director.

  • Concept, execute, and oversee design and concepts for multiple brands as a brand lead
  • Keep all work consistent and on brand guidelines and strategy
  • Contribute to strategic and tactical planning
  • Key client contact for applicable brands
  • Raise creative consciousness of agency through internal presentations and leadership
  • Establish credibility with clients at all levels through advanced thinking and clear communication
  • Helpsestablishand maintain the highest possible standards of reproduction for all digital, print, audio/visual and collateral materials produced by the agency
  • Monitors the quality of finished mechanical/digital art and conceptual materials produced by internal and freelance artists
  • Provides direction and guidance to department subordinates
  • Informs andadvisesthe Creative Director on the status of departmental affairs, including all design-related computer
    hardware/software needs (upgrades, equipment needs/problems, training, etc.)
  • Encourages the professional development of department staff
  • Consults with the Creative Director, as well as account service,trafficand other agency team members as necessary to achieve agency objectives
  • Help toidentifyandeliminatefactors creating a crisis, and minimize recurrence
  • Meets established deadlines orprovidesreasonable notice to the Creative Director ofspecial circumstancesrequiring
    deadline extension
  • Consults with Creative Director and agency services managerregardingstaffing needs
  • Maintains a current list of available freelance artists, web designers, art and photography stock houses, photographers and other contributory talent and vendors
  • Engage in personal development necessary to stay current in advertising
  • Researchesto become more familiar with clients’ businesses

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
