Shapiro Legal Search is seeking a VP, Assistant General Counsel Technology Transactions for a fast-growing analytics-driven client. You will lead technology contract negotiations, build a unified vendor agreements framework focusing on cloud and data contracts, and advise senior leadership on downstream legal and business risk.

The role requires 6+ years in corporate/tech licensing, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in corporate, technology, SaaS, or software licensing matters.
• Experience combining law firm training with in-house practice.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills for senior leadership.
• Comfort working independently with minimal oversight.
• Solid organizational and project management instincts.
• Ownership, urgency, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Take point on technology contract negotiations across multiple parts of the business.
• Build and refine a company-wide framework for vendor agreements, including cloud and data contracts.
• Assess downstream impact of contract terms for business, policy, and reputational risk.
• Weigh commercial priorities against legal exposure.
• Represent and defend positions with internal and external counterparties.
• Partner with broader in-house legal function.
• Manage complex commercial contracts, including licensing agreements and MSAs.
