Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel within the Consumer Banking Legal Team to provide strategic leadership on regulatory matters and complex banking products. The role focuses on core U.S.

banking regulations, deposit systems, and related rules, advising business partners across the organization. You will leverage analytical and issue-spotting skills to guide initiatives, maintain fortress controls, and collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and business

Qualifications

JD required; licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
6+ years of legal experience in a major law firm, large in-house setting, or equivalent
Subject matter expertise in core U.S. banking regulations and regulatory framework, Regulations DD and E, UDAAP, and payment regulations and rules
Practical team player who collaborates across lines of business
Strong decision-making skills, urgency, and ability to manage multiple matters
Ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships and act as trusted advisor
Ability to skillfully use AI tools, Word, PowerPoint and web-based approval tools to facilitate legal practice and communications of legal ideas

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and practical legal advice to consumer banking business areas
Internalize risk appetite to guide new business processes while maintaining fortress controls
Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance and Controls Departments
Support Consumer Banking products and platforms including deposits and pricing
Monitor regulatory changes and advise on impact
Support regulatory reviews, exams, internal audits, and investigations
Own issues start-to-finish to support the business area
