Job summary

MHW Search is partnering with a Denver-based private equity real estate platform to recruit a Vice President of Asset Management. The role oversees a national industrial/flex portfolio, driving performance, leasing, and capital initiatives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

The ideal candidate will manage underwriting transitions, capital events, and hold/sell decisions, working closely with acquisitions and senior leadership to maximize value.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of commercial real estate experience.
• Strong understanding of real estate finance, leasing, and investment returns.
• Proven track record of value-creation strategies across the investment lifecycle.
• Experience with value-add investments strongly preferred.
• Industrial and/or flex experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute asset-level business plans to maximize risk-adjusted returns and investment objectives.
• Lead leasing strategies alongside brokers and ensure alignment with the asset’s strategy.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, valuations, financial models, and performance against underwriting.
• Drive capital initiatives including refinancings, recapitalizations, and dispositions.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with acquisitions, finance, construction, and operations.
• Present concise, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on strategy and value creation.
• Coordinate with lenders, investment sales brokers, legal counsel, consultants, and internal teams.
