Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Manager, Applied Machine Learning - Vice President to lead data science initiatives that drive high‑impact decisions. You will guide problem framing, experimentation, production deployment, and monitoring of ML/AI solutions across the enterprise.

You will manage a team of senior contributors and other leaders, shaping strategy, attracting talent, and communicating tradeoffs to senior stakeholders. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Plano.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 8+ years or Doctorate with 6+ years in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience developing statistical, ML, or AI models.
• In-depth knowledge of Python, R or Scala for data science.
• Experience with Hadoop/Spark ecosystem and SQL/Hive.

Responsibilities

• Define the data science vision, strategy, and roadmap for the org.
• Lead a team of individual contributors and potential leaders.
• Attract and retain data science talent to maximize value for the company.
• Oversee the design and deployment of ML/AI models and ensure robustness.
• Develop clear recommendations and stories from data for leadership.
• Influence prioritization and timelines across senior stakeholders.
