Job summary

Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Vice President of Annuity Pricing to lead a small actuarial team focused on pricing and launching innovative annuity products that support long-term corporate strategy.

You will manage a 2–3 person Pricing team within the Actuarial Department, balancing product economics, risk, and market competitiveness while driving solutions for pricing and implementation challenges.

Qualifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
• Ten years of significant actuarial experience; annuity products preferred.
• Proven ability to build and sustain high-performing teams and attract top actuarial talent.
• Deep knowledge across actuarial subjects and regulatory practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial advice and leadership to achieve company goals.
• Define and execute long-term pricing strategy for fixed, variable, accumulation, and income annuities.
• Lead pricing, rate-setting, and analyses across the annuity portfolio with pricing models and scenario analyses.
• Provide strategic actuarial leadership for pricing and complex business decisions.
• Incorporate regulatory and market trends into product design and pricing to stay competitive.
• Advise senior leadership on pricing, profitability, and risk with clear business implications.
• Drive continuous improvement of pricing capabilities, tools, models and processes.
• Build a high-performing actuarial team through leadership, mentoring, and development.
