Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting leader to manage a Boston-based team, ensure client deadlines, and deliver accurate NAV reporting and fee calculations for hedge/PE funds.

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years in accounting (Big 4 and private equity experience preferred), strong analytical and client-service skills, and the ability to guide complex allocations and fund setups.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, incl. Big 4 and private equity fund accounting.
• Thorough knowledge of hedge/PE fund environments including accounting for investor allocations, share classes, and complex processing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance preferred.
• Innovative and analytical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with proven track record.
• Team player with the ability to see a project to conclusion with little follow-up.
• Excellent client service orientation and ability to deal with demanding clients.
• Experience with Investran or similar integrated Private Equity system a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Fund Accounting team and ensure client deadlines are met and work executed with internal controls
• Prepare/Review fund, share class, and investor allocations including management and performance fees/carry
• Prepare/Review Net Asset Value Files & Daily Profit & Loss
• Interpret fund agreements to determine impact on fund set-ups, financial reporting requirements and NAV reporting
• Maintain thorough knowledge of client base and industry standards to serve and communicate with clients effectively
• Serve as senior client escalation; anticipate and resolve issues to clients
• Assist with/lead training initiatives. Manage team capacity, budgets and cross training plans.
• Lead and work on special projects, new client/fund onboardings & internal investment initiatives
• Streamline operational processes to reduce risk and improve efficiency
