Job summary

Robots & Pencils is seeking a VP, Strategist to define strategy and lead complex client engagements from the front. You will own strategic direction, build senior client relationships, and shape the growth of our strategy practice.

We design AI systems for enterprise operations, balancing craft with rapid, production-ready delivery. You will guide governance, evaluation, and scalable AI programs across industries and teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in management consulting or AI strategy.
• Expert understanding of AI concepts incl. LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, evaluation frameworks, responsible AI.
• Led AI/digital strategy engagements end-to-end across complex orgs.
• Hands-on with AI tools for strategy, prototyping, and productivity.
• Mentored strategy practitioners and lifted team quality.

Responsibilities

• Define AI and digital strategy for major client engagements.
• Lead multi-stakeholder strategy engagements independently.
• Build and present executive-level business cases with clear tradeoffs.
• Design evaluation strategies to improve AI system performance.
• Create reusable strategy accelerators and reference architectures.
• Define AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
• Lead executive briefings and strategic planning workshops.
• Communicate strategy clearly at the executive level.
