Job summary

State Street Corporation in Boston, MA is seeking a senior leader to define the enterprise AI security and data protection governance strategy. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to embed security-by-design across platforms, data, and services, and interact with executives, auditors, and regulators.

The role requires 13+ years in cybersecurity, AI security, and risk governance, with strong leadership and cross-functional transformation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 13+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, AI security, data protection, security architecture, technology risk, or control governance with leadership in a large organization.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP or comparable are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set enterprise vision, strategy, governance model, and multi-year roadmap for AI security and data protection risk.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for governance, control oversight, risk assessment, assurance, and stakeholder engagement.
• Establish enterprise policies, standards, control objectives, risk ownership, and accountability across AI, data, and cloud platforms.
• Oversee risk assessment of AI models, data assets, applications, and third-party services; prioritize remediation and investments.
• Sponsor minimum control requirements, testing and evidence standards, exception governance, and remediation expectations.
