JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an AI Platform Engineer - Vice President in NYC to own the architecture, roadmap, and day-to-day operations of the AI research platform.

The role focuses on building scalable cloud and GPU infrastructure and self-service environments for GTAR researchers. You will collaborate with researchers and enterprise technology teams to enable reproducible experimentation, while driving risk controls, security, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related field plus 4+ years of experience building/operating cloud or infrastructure systems.
• Experience operating production-grade environments including EC2, networking, storage, monitoring, and cost management.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting; strong software engineering practices for automation and platform integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, roadmap, and day-to-day engineering of the AI research platform.
• Design and operate secure, scalable cloud/CPU/GPU infrastructure, including clusters, storage, networking, and cost.
• Build self-service research environments and automation using containers, IaC, CI/CD, and orchestration.
• Translate research requirements into dependable platform capabilities and prepare prototypes for downstream integration.
• Onboard new AI infrastructure technologies and tools through benchmarks and pilots.
• Maintain reliable platforms with observability, incident response, patching, and lifecycle management.
