Job summary

Living Classrooms Foundation Inc offers a seasonal liveaboard cook position aboard the Lady Maryland. You will plan menus, provision, and prepare meals for crew, volunteers, and VIPs during day sails, working closely with the Captain.

The role requires managing galley operations, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and involving cadets in shipboard cooking activities. This is a liveaboard, March–November, with structured hours around meals.

Qualifications

• Seasonal liveaboard cook position aboard the Lady Maryland.
• Responsibilities include planning meals for crew, volunteers, and VIPs; provisioning; food prep; and galley safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus and provision for day sails (6–8 crew, up to 10 total with volunteers).
• Prepare meals 3 times daily; assist cadets during cruises.
• Keep galley clean and sanitary; assist outside caterers as needed.
• Ensure onboard safety and proper operation of galley systems.
• Work with Captain on vessel operations and guest management.
