Job summary

The position is seasonal from March through November, with 0800–1630 days, six trips per week during the daysail season, and extra trips paid as Comp Pay. Housing and meals may be provided; pre-employment drug testing and background checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Support staff for the Captain of the S/V Lady Maryland
• Perform routine maintenance projects as directed by the Captain
• Perform daily chores and ensure duties are carried out properly and on time
• Assist in developing and implementing onboard education programs
• Provisioning and providing for ship’s crew when in port and during expeditions
• Maintain passenger comfort and safety and ensure adherence to ship rules
• Follow standing orders and emergency procedures as posted by the Captain
• Familiarize with vessel systems and assist with repairs as needed
• Greet volunteers and passengers, representing the Foundation positively
• Maintain professionalism as a Foundation representative
