Goochland County seeks a detail-oriented Elections Clerk to support voter registration and election administration. This role performs essential clerical duties, answers inquiries, and assists with early and absentee voting operations.

Under supervision, you will process registrations, run reports, maintain accurate records, and engage with the public and candidates while ensuring compliance with state and federal election laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of office experience.
• Resident of Virginia and registered voter in Virginia preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver's license may be required.
• Strong customer service and ability to learn election laws and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Process new voter registration and absentee ballot applications.
• Run reports as needed and compile spreadsheets.
• File, sort, and maintain accurate records.
• Interact with the public and candidates to answer registration and campaign questions.
• Assist in the preparation for elections.
• Assist with the conduct of local, state and federal elections as assigned, in accordance with laws.
