Job summary

Henry County Government seeks a public outreach professional to educate residents on voter registration and election procedures. The role includes equipment demonstrations, assisting with absentee ballots, and public information campaigns.

You will collaborate with community partners, plan events, and train volunteers to ensure accurate and accessible voter services. The position emphasizes outreach across multiple media channels, data tracking, and providing updated information to the Director.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience, or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of local government operations, elections related programs, policies and plans.
• Skill in effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Experience coordinating voter registration events and poll worker activities.

Responsibilities

• Administer a countywide voter education outreach program to inform residents about registration, voting procedures, and the voting system.
• Strengthen partnerships with community organizations by attending events, giving presentations, and meeting with groups.
• Develop outreach campaigns across social media, radio, TV, and print to engage residents.
• Coordinate voter registration drives and recruit/train poll workers for elections.
• Plan, manage, and track poll worker data and provide monthly statistics.
