Randstad is recruiting for Assemblers to join Volvo Trucks New River Valley Operations in Dublin, VA. No prior assembly experience is required, and training will be provided. This is a full-time opportunity with Randstad and Volvo, offering comprehensive benefits and room for growth.

The role involves assembling heavy trucks using hand and power tools, following plans, and meeting quality standards. Shift is First, with potential overtime and weekend/work-hour requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• No prior assembly experience required—training provided.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, physical capabilities test, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Position and fasten together truck subassemblies (frames, axles, powertrains, cabs, electrical components, hydraulic/air systems).
• Install engines, transmissions, wire harnesses, pumps, and air-conditioning systems.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks according to blueprints and SOPs.
• Examine connections for correct fit and inspect parts for defects or quality issues.
• Safely utilize overhead cranes and rigging techniques (training provided).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace and document production actions.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: None required! Ability to learn how to utilize hand tools and follow written plans is essential.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, reach, bend, squat, climb, and repeatedly lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Availability: Must be able to work any shift schedule, including required overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet production demands.
• Detail-Oriented: attention to detail to ensure every truck meets premium quality standards.
• Screening: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, physical capabilities test, and drug screen.
