Job summary

Christ Community Chapel in Hudson, OH seeks a Volunteer Director to lead church-wide volunteer systems, improve recruitment, onboarding, and retention, and equip ministry leaders to build a volunteer-first culture. The role reports to the Executive Director of Ministry Leadership and requires a relational, strategic leader with ministry experience.

The position is full-time and onsite, with a focus on scalable processes and data-driven engagement to sustain healthy volunteer culture across CCC.

Qualifications

Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Bachelor's degree in ministry, organizational leadership, communications, or related field preferred.
Three or more years of volunteer leadership or ministry experience preferred.
Ability to recruit, engage, develop, and retain volunteers or teams.
Strong relational and communication skills to influence across ministries.
Strategic thinker who can develop scalable, relational systems.

Responsibilities

Build and improve scalable church-wide systems for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention.
Oversee volunteer engagement tools and workflows ensuring timely follow-up.
Monitor engagement data and identify trends to improve follow-through.
Equip ministry leaders and maintain ownership of volunteer processes.
Evaluate ministry structures and training to address gaps and opportunities.
Develop church-wide training, tools, and frameworks for volunteers and staff.
Align volunteers with gifts and develop leaders into Team Leaders and Coaches.
