Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and strong communication. You will teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement provided lesson plans, and maintain a safe, orderly classroom in line with LifeWise policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
