Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Indiana is seeking a substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and strong communication with students and families. You will deliver LifeWise lessons, maintain classroom safety, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers.

The role requires completing substitute training, implementing provided curriculum, maintaining attendance records, and representing LifeWise within the local community according to program policies.

Qualifications

• Must have mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
