Job summary

LifeWise Academy in the United States seeks reliable substitute teachers who model a mature Christian faith and strong communication with students and families. You will participate in ongoing substitute training and deliver LifeWise classes using provided curriculum.

As an ambassador in the community, you will collaborate with church partners, implement lesson plans, maintain a safe classroom, and follow LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records: Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain Classroom: Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Communicate: Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
