Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Dayton, OH seeks a substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and active church involvement to deliver LifeWise lessons with care and clarity.

You will train as a substitute teacher, implement provided curricula, maintain safe classrooms, and communicate effectively with teachers and volunteers as an ambassador in the community.

Qualifications

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
