AccentCare in Port Saint Lucie, FL seeks a part-time Volunteer Services Coordinator to manage the volunteer program across St Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee. This on-site role offers a $20–$30/hour salary and a non-remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; 2+ years as a volunteer in healthcare or human services.
• 2+ years in healthcare setting, hospice preferred.
• Ability to coordinate, supervise and evaluate volunteer services.
• Ability to educate and develop volunteer hospice personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all volunteer records including lists, availability, assignments, time and personnel records.
• Participate in volunteer recruitment and conduct screening interviews.
• In collaboration with the Director-Patient Experience, develop and coordinate volunteer training classes and ongoing education and support meetings.
• Coordinate the activities of volunteers not involved in direct patient care.
• Assist the DPE to creatively develop and implement the volunteer program using community, regional, and national resources.
• Coordinate Volunteer Recognition activities.
• Receive information on new admissions; assign volunteers to teams and provide necessary information to support patient needs.

Be the Best Volunteer Services Coordinator You Can Be

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

• Associate degree, preferred
• 2+ years professional experience as a volunteer in a healthcare, human services or similar agency
• 2+ years' experience in a healthcare setting, hospice, preferred
• Ability to coordinate, supervise and evaluate volunteer services
• Ability to organize, educate and develop volunteer hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needs
• Experience in hospice, especially in bedside volunteering, training and supporting adults, preferred
