Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will maintain safety, cleanliness, and reliability while following all traffic laws.

The role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record, plus background checks and regular drug testing. A school bus endorsement is preferred; positions include potential classroom volunteer involvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• /nActive participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the Statement of Faith.
• CDL driver’s license (copy may be kept on file).
• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; annual CDL license copy submission above 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Yearly Physician's Statement for known medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and supervise behavior.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training; volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved.
