Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will ensure safety, perform pre/post trips, maintain the bus, and enforce rules with a calm, caring demeanor.

Qualified candidates hold a CDL with passenger endorsement (P), preferably a school bus endorsement (S), and have a clean driving record. Background and drug tests are required as part of employment.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger endorsement required.
• Age 21–80; annual update for drivers over 75 with CDL and Passenger Endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years.
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and supervise behavior.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
