Job summary

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is seeking a Manager of Volunteer Programs in Indianapolis, IN. The role oversees volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention, and collaborates across departments to support the organization's mission.

The position handles volunteer systems, communications, data management, and special programs, with responsibilities including staff scheduling for events and volunteer training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 3-5 years of volunteer management, community engagement, nonprofit program management, or related experience preferred
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and volunteer management software preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in all seasons, and occasional weekends/evenings

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment, engagement, recognition, and retention strategies to grow participation across KIB programs
• Evaluate volunteer programs and recommend improvements based on data and feedback
• Lead volunteer logistics and staffing for organization-wide projects and special events
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and volunteers
• Coordinate volunteer staffing to meet organizational needs
• Manage volunteer systems, registrations, and related technology
• Oversee communications and promotion of volunteer programs
• Maintain volunteer records and reporting for grants and organizational needs
• Manage Ambassador and Tree Tender Programs and related events
• Collaborate across departments to expand volunteer opportunities and support missions
