Job summary

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum seeks a dedicated Volunteer Programs Manager to oversee all aspects of its volunteer program within the Education Department. With over 110 active adult volunteers, the role focuses on recruitment, training, scheduling, recognition, and data management to support museum programs and student activities.

You will lead team efforts, build partnerships, manage the budget, and mentor volunteers and teen volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, arts administration, library and information studies, museum studies, sociology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
• Previous work with volunteers in a non-profit or educational setting.
• Previous experience with training or teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies.
• Maintain a corps of 125+ volunteers.
• Oversee volunteer training and onboarding, including background checks.
• Schedule volunteers to align with department needs and skill sets.
• Maintain volunteer database and records for reporting.
• Oversee Teen Team program and youth volunteer initiatives.
• Build partnerships to promote volunteerism and community engagement.
• Manage the volunteer program budget.
