Job summary

Paws for Youth in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead our youth programs in Southern Arizona and to recruit, train, and support volunteers statewide. You will help volunteers from initial inquiry through onboarding, fingerprint clearance, and registration, while collaborating with schools and partners.

You will work with a small team in a mostly remote setting, travel across Southern Arizona in your own vehicle, and support the human side of the leash through mentoring and

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching or counseling settings preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required or ability to obtain one.
• Experience working with children and volunteers; strong communication skills.
• Comfort with dogs and animals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support volunteer programs across Southern Arizona.
• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer teams; coordinate school and nonprofit partnerships.
• Manage onboarding and fingerprint/registration processes for volunteers.
• Coordinate scheduling, information sessions, and communications for volunteers.
• Track program data and prepare monthly updates for staff and board.
