Job summary

The County of Santa Clara is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for the Santa Clara County Library District to oversee volunteer services and support literacy programs across the district. The role emphasizes recruitment, screening, orientation, recognition, and policy development for volunteer activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Experience coordinating or planning volunteer events is required.
• Strong communication and data/reporting abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, screens, places, orients, coordinates, trains and recognizes volunteers.
• Implements department-wide recognition program for volunteers.
• Promotes volunteer programs to staff and community.
• Coordinates library district volunteer events and program support.
• Develops policies, procedures and volunteer-related documentation.
• Maintains volunteer data, records, and reporting.
