Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead a team of volunteers within our hospice program, aligning with the company's 6 Pillars of Success. You will interview, hire, train, supervise, and retain volunteers, and coordinate workload and documentation.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, adherence to regulations, and ability to deliver education and reports to IDT, patients, and families. A high school diploma is required, degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Colleague degree (AS or BS) preferred.
• Experience in Social Services or related field preferred.
• Experience managing volunteer services or nonprofit organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, trains, and retains volunteers for program needs.
• Directs volunteer workload; supervises performance and documentation.
• Develops plan of care supporting patient and family needs via volunteers.
• Maintains records of recruitment, retention, and utilization.
• Delivers education about volunteer services to the IDT and stakeholders.
• Manages budget and coordinates communications and reports.
