Job summary

World Relief Western Washington is seeking an Education & Literacy Programs Volunteer Coordinator to support ESL, Financial Literacy, Detention Center Post-Release, and Children & Family programs. The role includes training, resources, and volunteer care, with data tracking and community engagement responsibilities.

The 20-hour-per-week, part-time position offers a hybrid work arrangement, some evenings/weekends, and a potential for remote days after a 90-day period; funding runs through Feb 28,

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith and alignment with World Relief's beliefs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and train volunteers across ESL, Financial Literacy, Detention Center Post-Release, and Children & Family programs.
• Plan meetings and quarterly trainings for volunteers.
• Maintain regular contact with volunteers and field questions or concerns.
• Provide volunteer appreciation, recognition and ongoing training opportunities.
• Work with Outreach Manager to adapt volunteer roles as needs change and support volunteers through transitions.
