Acocares in Allen, TX is seeking an experienced Volunteer Manager to recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers across programs and events. You will build strong relationships with volunteers, corporate groups, and community partners to foster a culture of professionalism and appreciation.

You will lead volunteers from planning through completion of ACO programs, managing coverage, schedules, and training, while solving problems on the ground and measuring impact for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in volunteer management, event management, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, program management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience leading, motivating, and coordinating people, as well as speaking to groups.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and professional judgment.
• Comfortable taking a hands‑on approach when needed.

• Recruit, onboard, schedule, train, and retain volunteers across programs and events.
• Build strong, positive relationships with volunteers and create a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and appreciation.
• Develop and maintain effective volunteer systems, policies, procedures, and communication.
• Work with department leaders to identify volunteer needs and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Manage corporate and community volunteer groups and create meaningful volunteer opportunities.
• Address volunteer concerns and challenges professionally and proactively.
