Join to apply for the Volunteer Program & Workforce Development Coordinator role at Carnegie Museum of Art

This position is based at the Carnegie Science Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is a full-time, union role eligible for benefits. The role involves developing and managing volunteer and internship programs, including recruitment, training, retention, and evaluation of volunteers and interns, as well as supporting staff development and recognition initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in volunteer programs or personnel management, or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with new technologies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Additional requirements include PA Act 153 clearances and occasional evening or weekend hours. The role involves collaboration with various departments, developing training and evaluation programs, and supporting the overall mission of the Science Center to inspire curiosity and engagement with science and technology.
