Richmond Animal League is seeking a Volunteer Manager to lead and grow the organization’s volunteer program. You will supervise the Volunteer Coordinator, align recruitment and onboarding with operational needs, and develop partnerships that expand community engagement.

You will oversee scheduling, records, safety training, and program documentation, while collaborating with Development and other departments for outreach and events. This is a full-time, on-site role in Richmond, VA.

Formación

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to develop programs, document procedures, coordinate training, and organize multiple priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including communicating with community groups.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with diverse staff, volunteers, and community members.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement volunteer program goals and improvements aligned with RAL’s mission.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate the Volunteer Coordinator.
• Oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, orientation, placement, scheduling, and engagement.
• Address concerns and conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
• Manage volunteer program decisions and documentation; maintain confidentiality.
