Job summary

Providence at Home with Compassus is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers supporting patient care and administrative needs. You will work with the interdisciplinary team to integrate volunteers into the plan of care and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes ongoing training, record-keeping, and community outreach, with opportunities to contribute to program development and patient support initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in Social Services or nonprofit work is beneficial.
• Prior experience managing volunteer services is a plus.
• Background checks required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the IDT to develop and implement the plan of care.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and retain volunteers for care and admin tasks.
• Ensure background and health screenings are completed before placement.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and report utilization.
• Educate IDT about volunteer roles and their impact on care.
• Develop reports, in-services, and outreach for volunteer engagement.
• Manage program budget and oversee expenses.
• Provide patient care volunteer support when needed.
